Approximately 10 years ago, Hacker Industries, Inc. requested that KMAC expand its operation to meet the growing demand for gypsum concrete floor underlayments in Charlotte, NC. Since that time we have installed over 50,000,000 square feet of Hacker Floor Underlayment from Washington, D.C. to Jacksonville, FL, and the Atlantic Coast to Nashville, TN. FIRM-FILL® Gypsum Concrete floor underlayment is designed for use in multi-family housing to satisfy acoustical ratings and fire codes. With excellent STC and IIC ratings as well as over 100 UL listings, FIRM-FILL® Gypsum Concrete floor underlayment is an excellent choice for jobs needing compressive strengths up to 5200 psi.

Quiet Qurl® Brand Sound Control Products

KMAC of the Carolina’s provides and installs impact sound insulating materials. The Quiet Qurl® product line offers solutions in different thicknesses for code-driven performance needs. Quiet Qurl® systems are available from 0.125” to 0.75” with fabric options, including: moisture control (MC), muffling technology enhancement (MT), and fast track (FT). All products are designed for use with underlayments such as gypsum concrete and lightweight concrete.
